Samantha Hazard

Artist member since 2019
Hamilton, Ontario

Samantha Hazard is a practicing artist who is based primarily in Hamilton, Ontario. She has graduated from the Drawing and Painting program at OCAD University.

With just shy of five years of various artistic phases that her teenage mind believed were fit for galleries, and a few years of questionable colourful blob art, meant to be members of her family when she was but a child, Samantha has been pursuing an art practice for majority of her life.

As an emerging artist, she is now interested in creating work that deals with the structure of the human body in various ways, exploring the intricacies of the human form and the identity of individuals. She prefers to work with paint and various drawing materials, often incorporating a textile component into work to bring three-dimensional aspects to an otherwise two-dimensional surface.
